1. I want to watch the live feed from WZAR
Internet TV, but nothing happens or it says it can't connect when I
click on it. What can I do?
First, make sure you have the latest version
of Windows Media Player installed (Windows
-
Mac). Depending on the speed of your connection and other
internet congestion, a few seconds to a minute may be required for
the player to get completely in sync with our server. If
nothing loads or it has problems loading, it is likely that all
viewer slots are full or we are not broadcasting.
Although we are generally broadcasting during most hours of most
days, we do not broadcast a guaranteed 24 hours every day.
2. The on-demand video
reports on the website are not loading or are empty squares.
Because of its efficiency and popularity, we
are currently using YouTube to host our videos. Some
schools/workplaces may have the YouTube service blocked and, often
times, for a good reason. Otherwise, the videos utilize the
"Flash" format. Make sure your browser has "Flash" installed
and updated (Get
Flash Player).
3. I can't find an a report
of an event that I recently saw WZAR at.
If you can't find a particular report, it is
usually because of one of the following three reasons:
1. The report has simply not yet been edited.
Due to our small staff size, there are times when we are unable to
get our work done as fast as we would like.
2. The video from the event may be awaiting use in another feature,
such as the monthly "Boyertown Live."
3. WZAR may have just been hired to record the event, not
necessarily to report it as news.
4. Some pages of this website won't load,
or pictures have problems loading.
If you are using a standard browser, such as
Firefox, Safari, or Internet Explorer, it is probably just a
problem in the coding of our website and will probably be repaired
within the next day or two. If you notice that this is an ongoing
problem, please contact us and let us know, as we may not realize
that this problem is occurring.
5. When I click a link to e-mail WZAR
Studios, nothing happens, or some e-mail thing I've never seen
before comes up asking me to configure it. How do I contact you?
By default, when you click an e-mail address
link, your computer usually will automatically use a program called
Outlook Express, which is a built in e-mailing application on your
computer. If you do not use or don't want to use Outlook Express,
just copy and paste the e-mail address that is listed into your
e-mail program that you normally use and you can contact us that
way.
