WZAR's Zach Reinert and Boyertown Students Honored with Comcast Cable Ace Award |

On Wednesday, May 17th, WZAR's Zachary Reinert traveled to Reading to be a part of an honorary dinner sponsored by Comcast of the Reading area. Two of Reinert's news reports were submitted to the Comcast Cable Ace Awards for exemplary work in broadcasting and video production. Several categories were given for entry including educational videos, sports videos, special projects, and news reports. All videos entered were played during the dinner and the finalists were announced by the host, CN8 Newsmakers' Jen Boyett. Both of Reinert's submitted videos were finalists, but were included in the same catagory, only allowing one to win. Reinert's video was selected as the winning report in the "News or Magazine Report" catagory. Boyertown students Adam Tim and Christi Weidner also won an award for the Chamber of Commerce presentation video. Their Boyertown Senior High instructor Bill Cherkasky was also recognized at the event.
