Thursday (02/16/06), police were called to the Bechtelsville Wal-Mart by the report of an employee in the Wal-Mart store.  A man, Sylvester J. Montgomery, 19, was asking questions about a items in the electronics department and was becoming agitated when employees were unable to understand what he was asking.  He was also reported to have a strong smell of alcohol on him.

When police arrived, he struggled with the officers and was uncooperative, even attempted to bite a police officer and paramedic.  As he was taken into custody, he was reported to be screaming "no violence" and fell into the snow, making obscene gestures and comments.  Once inside the police car, he started to remove his clothing and spit inside the back of the vehicle.

Montgomery was then restrained and taken to Pottstown Memorial Medical Center.  He is being charged with simple and aggravated assault, disorderly conduct, institutional vandalism, indecent exposure, resisting arrest, and underage drinking.  He was taken to the Berks County Prison with a $25,000 bail.
