Our Facility

Posted by WZAR Staff On July - 29 - 2009

Our studio is located in the beautiful and historic Lincoln School building, once a central location for many school children in the Boyertown area.  The building has since been transformed into office space, but is kept original in many ways, including the authentic chalkboards.

Our location isn’t huge like the Philly stations, but it serves its purpose.  In our control room, we can record action in our studio and broadcast prerecorded or live material to the world through our internet stream, available to anyone who has a high-speed internet connection around the world.  There are several edit stations to complete customer projects and the TV programs we produce, including WZAR News and Mile27.  We also produce many works you see every day, including DVDs, commercials, and video for websites for many companies in the Tri-State area and beyond.

We have two studios.  Studio 215A houses our WZAR News news set and is usually left in its position between shows.  Studio 215B is shared space and is used for many in-house productions, including projects for customers, WZAR special features, and performances on WZAR News.  Studio 215B is also used to shoot our annual End of the Year Special.

We love being in the Boyertown Borough, right where the majority of the news that we cover takes place.  It’s also a great location to shoot during the annual Memorial Day parade.
