-It sounds like a story from the big cities, but it’s right here in Boyertown… a man and woman are attacked and robbed at the Boyertown Park. WZAR has the exclusive story that you haven’t seen anywhere else.

-If you’re into making your own brews, there’s a new shop in the area just for you… WZAR took the tour and talked to the owners who are very excited to get started.

-It’s a fun day for business owners and an educational day for students who take part in the annual Shadow Day event. Our cameras stopped into some local businesses that were hosting the students, and we even had one of our own.

-And these last few weeks contain a lot of milestones for Boyertown Seniors; WZAR was there as they spent their last few moments together as a class.

-Some stars from the Food Network’s “Ace of Cakes” stopped into the Pottstown Area… tune in to find out what they were up to.

-It’s time for Relay For Life in Boyertown in just a few days… WZAR is gearing up to do a 24-hour internet broadcast from the event, something that has never been done in our area.

In this episode, you’ll meet the band “Termina,” learn about who they are and what they like to do, and even hear a few good stories they have to share. Throughout the show, you’ll also see some of their performances from Battle of the Bands 2 at the State Theatre of Boyertown.

It’s time for Battle of the Bands Round 2 on Mile27! Four bands (The Red Laces, Staticface, Termina, and Detonator) will compete for the winning title - and the winner will move on to the final competition round!

This is a really cool activity that gets young performers involved, brings something unique to the area, and PACKS the State Theatre of Boyertown full of screaming fans!

You can also catch the re-run on cable next week, Thursday the 13th, at 6:00p.m. on Comcast 22.

WZAR News taped live at Coming Out of Hibernation

WZAR TV had our van and news desk right on the sidewalk and recorded our entire news show live at Coming Out of Hibernation on Saturday.  The taping took place immediately next to Serenity Junction at 1p.m.  Viewers who were standing there to watch were entertained as we put on a bit of a show along with the news program.  WZAR also made an important announcement to the community - if you were there, you know, but if you weren’t - you’ll just have to tune in!

The show will air April 22nd and 29th at 6p.m. on Comcast 22 or watch online at the same time on the 22nd. The show is also available on our website on-demand anytime after the initial air-date. Thanks for watching!

Episode number 3 of Season 1 visits the State Theatre of Boyertown for Battle of the Bands #1 - four bands compete for the winning title in the first of three competitions, all leading up to the final round in April.

This episode was made possible by the State Theatre of Boyertown (www.StateTheatreBoyertown.com) and Miracles in Motion Dance School (www.mimdsboyertown.com).
